Ancient Winds
I met a woman
While I was out
She was cool
A lot like me
We talked until
She had to go
Many things
She had to say
She told me what
Had led her here
She told me that
She faced her fear
She's going to build
A ship on earth
Cut her curls
And ride the surf
14 years
Has been enough
Freedom calls
From family stuff
Ancient winds
Torn her mast
Her past has past
She's moving fast
But still she hopes
To meet someone
To share her love
Till life is done
Could I be
The one for her
Could I love
I'm not to sure
It's been a while
I need no cure
For now I'll stay
Just as I am
Feast on meat
And pass on clam
Renea your not
The girl for me
At best a catalyst
To keep me free
Build your ship
I wish you luck
I'll trust the gears
In my old truck
The ancient winds
May change direction
A time for all
To make correction
