I saw your soul - we fused into one

I touched your body - we shined like the sun

I thought what we had could not be undone

While Angels in heaven danced all the while

Then life look its toll and push came to shove

Murky and muddy became your clear love

Your soul shut it's eyes

Blocking my view with a darkened disguise

Without any warning - Without Disregard

You pulled out your dagger and shattered my heart

The ground all around me was covered in shard

Piercing with pain I fell to one knee

When I was down you stomped upon me

I knew it was over - I knew I had failed

Loosing your love took the wind from my sail

Your hatred for me drove in the last nail

As I lay in my coffin choking and pale.

Now I have risen to begin a new life

But I still bare the scares where you shoved in your knife

The Slipstream Of Love

I awoke from a dream

Only to be cast into loves slipstream

It was filled with broken hearts that bled of black ink

Destined for a hole at the bottom of life’s sink

Stained were the walls of this downward spiral

Like a song on side B that skipped on black vinyl

Oh how I wish it would snow a white, white world again

Lite by Dawn’s first light and free from emotional pain

Where I just might ride upon the wings of grace

And feed upon the love written on a snow angel’s face

She would lift me up from the bottom of the drain

Cleansing my heart of the blackened ink stain

Coloring my sky once again with shades of blues and pinks

And until this day will come upon

I’ll dream of home and a green, green lawn

While I hum a tune that will echo into space

In hopes that she will send her grace

 To save me from this morbid place
