Nothing More Nothing Less

Nothing More Nothing Less

Thought
A prodigy of prodigal mind
Of itself it cannot find
Expanding pressure bulging out
Blindly searching full of doubt
Raging struggle toward the top
To loose this race it fears cannot
Sees itself as the one too be
Of what it says must follow thee
Fate be changed to evil slayer
And cast into a mortared layer
And crushed beneath all proceeding
Fearsome thoughts superseding
Food from thought turned into prey
For reckless mind to feed away
But if the choice is not to struggle
Soul will free from mental muzzle
The troubled mind begins to humble
And boiling blood has dried to crumble
Soul connects back to its' star
And in the midst of darkest night
Far above is seen a thread a light
Nothing more and nothing less
Thought will never second guess
Always will it be this way
Believe in "you" not what they say

Riding Free

Riding Free

I think I'll sit upon the sun
And fly up into space
My foot becomes the beating drum
My smile becomes the face

There is no need to hurry
And no time will I waste
The hatchet has been buried
As victory turns to taste

Saddle up and mount your sun
Come along and ride with me
Counting down from ten to one
Letting go and feeling free

Along the way we'll dream till noon
Turning time into a present
And stop to dance upon the moon
As it fades from full to crescent

Inner light becomes such wonder
There is much for us to see
Breaking through from deep down under
On our sun when riding free

EMANCIPATED

EMANCIPATED

The love of rain
All that he has quenched for me
The bless-id snow
Through my life, her prints hence show
Within my whole
Wonder plays a vital role
My soul revealed
For all to see
Mysteries of my big blue sea
Down deep
Atop the highest peak
Emancipated, knighted meek
--------------------
But if one stands
upon their head
The clues I give
Leak out instead
Way up high
In the valley low
Servility to what they tow
Creating fear of letting go
It has been said, most pay no heed
No good is gained from mindless greed
The greatest wealth, unbound from strife
Is begotten from a simple life
